The winners of KWN 2004 was released during the Award Ceremony held on 26 November 2004 at Cathay Cineleisure Orchard Panasonic Hall 8. Guest-of-honour Mr. Seto Lok Yin, Director, Industry Development, Media Development Authority (MDA) graced the event.

The panel of distinguished judges comprised of Ms. Diana Ser (TV presenter), Ms. Wahyuni A. Hadi (Senior Programming Executive, MediaCorp TV12) and Mr. Edward Fu (Film Director). The 2 Top News Productions will move on to compete in the regional competition on 14 December 2004.
