Super Mobility

Dual core CPU and 512 MB RAM memory
More efficient working with variety of interfaces

The well rounded features, including a fast CPU and large-capacity hard disk, make this PC good enough to serve as a main computer. With no reason to use a different PC on the road and inside the office, there is no need to separate or duplicate data. Moreover, besides being easy on the eyes, the LCD is also a touch panel that can be operated with gloved hands. Even outdoors, you can get your work done quickly. (The CF-19 can also be used as a tablet PC.)

*1 The HDD is 1 GB (1,000,000,000 bytes) in capacity. The actual capacity may be less than displayed depending on the OS and or application software. Use NTFS-compatible hard disk utilities.

*2 The memory is 1 MB (1,048,576 bytes) in capacity.

*3 The period of battery operation time varies according to the operating environment, LCD brightness, and system settings. Measured using BatteryMark™ Ver.4.01* (LCD brightness Minimum)

Easy to see, anti-reflection (AR) coating Highly viewable, bright 1,000 cd/m2 LCD panel1 (CF-30)

An Anti-Reflection (AR) finish has been applied to reduce LCD monitor reflections and improve view-ability both outdoors and in the office. The high-resolution, 1,000 cd/m2 LCD panel1 in the CF-30 can be viewed even in direct sunlight. The LCD in the CF-19 is a touch screen with a circular polarizer that reduces reflections. Outdoors, you get surer confirmation from the screen

*1 Average luminance in the middle of the screen at the time of shipping. This may change depending on the environment and length of use. To use full 1,000 cd/m2 brightness, from the main menu of the set-up utility, set ‘LCD brightness mode’ to ‘High.’

Previous 5000 cd/m2 increased to 1,000 cd/m2 (CF-30)

Much greater operating efficiency Intel® Core™ Duo Mobile Technology
intel®

Through the use of a dual core CPU, which splits processing tasks between two cores, and 512 MB of RAM, processing performance has been much improved.
Both high performance and efficient power consumption are achieved by using the Intel® Core™ Duo processor along with the Mobile Intel® 945GM Express chipset, Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG network connection, and Intel® Centrino™ Duo Mobile Technology.

With an 80 GB* large-capacity hard disk
You can refer to various information on site

With a large-capacity hard disk you can now carry around vast and hitherto unheard of amounts of data on a TOUGHBOOK. By taking reference material with you, the cost and trouble of phoning the company to check something can be reduced. Moreover, a much greater amount of data can now be recorded on-site and brought back. Then, because of the boost in performance, there is no need to transfer data to a desktop PC. You can continue working with the TOUGHBOOK as your main computer. On a single PC, you can promptly add to and revise the data that you take to field sites.

*The HDD is 1 GB (1,000,000,000 bytes) in capacity. The actual capacity may be less than displayed depending on the OS and or application software. Use NTFS-compatible hard disk utilities.

Various interfaces

Using the IEEE1394 port, data import and transfer can be completed quickly with transfer speeds of up to 400 Mbps. Hot plug* capability enables smooth connection and disconnection with on-site devices and improves work efficiency. Express Cards, which are faster than PC Cards, are also accepted. On-site data transmission and processing are smoother.

*Devices can be plugged and unplugged while they are operating.

Built-in wireless LAN (IEEE802.11a/b/g specifications)

Built-in Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Net Connection. Because communications are compatible with widely accepted IEEE802.11a/b/g standards*1, it is possible to use both 11 Mbps wireless, and 54 Mbps fast wireless, LAN connections. If you are in range of wireless LAN hot-spots, you can get broadband wireless connections whether you are out on business, on the road, or at the office.

*   Wi-Fi CERTIFIED is a certification mark by the Wi-Fi Alliance.

*1 Theoretical maximum throughput according to IEEE802.11a/b/g standards, they do not indicate actual data rate.

*   Effective range will vary depending on the radio wave environment, obstructions, equipment environment, and other surrounding factors, as well as other conditions, such as which application software and operating system are being used.

Battery environment settings can be selected to match work environment

Under ‘Environment’ in the set-up utility menu, ‘High temp.’, ‘Normal temp.’, and ‘Auto’ settings are available. Working in an office with the AC adapter constantly plugged in or in a hot environment contributes to battery deterioration. If ‘High temp.’ is selected, recharge will be set to a lower level, and the battery deterioration will be reduced. When set to ‘Auto,’ the environment temperature and working conditions will be sensed and accordingly switched as necessary between ‘High temp.’ and ‘Normal temp.’

* The factory default of battery environment mode is set to ‘Auto’.
