All Viera plasma display panels are lead-free. This reduces the impact on the environment when recycling or disposing of them in the future.


Reducing Use of Lead by 280 Tons per Year
About 4 million plasma TVs are produced each year. While conventional plasma display panels contain 70 grams of lead, lead-free Viera models contain 0 grams. This could constitute a reduction of 280 tons of lead per year.


BAMBOO FIBER SPEAKER

Bamboo Materials - Another Way We're Protecting the Environment
Deforestation is causing serious concerns on a global scale. While bamboo, which is a sustainable natural resource, is not widely utilised, it is very useful in terns of conserving resource and protecting the environment. Viera's speakers feature a diaphragm made of bamboo fibre in place of pulp. This is a new attempt by Panasonic to help reduce deforestation.
