Full-Time Live View Lets You Frame the Shot Just They Way You Want It

With conventional digital SLR cameras, you never know exactly how the photo is composed until after you shoot. The LUMIX L10 changes all that with full-time Live View. When you look in the L10's LCD, you see what the camera sees, making it easy to frame a shot just the way you want it.

Free-Angle 2.5" LCD Gives You More Flexibility

The L10's 207,000-pixel, 2.5" LCD rotates 180o left and right and 270o front and back. It lets you shoot at both high and low angles easily and comfortably.

Easily Check White Balance and Exposure Compensation Effects

Now you can use the LCD to check how any white balance or exposure compensation adjustments affect the shot before you take it. The L10's two-axis white balance adjustment (blue-amber and magenta-green) provides extremely fine color control.

Intelligent ISO Control Prevents Motion Blur

A first in digital SLR cameras*, this function detects if the subject is moving and adjusts the ISO setting and shutter speed accordingly. This makes it easy to get photos without blurring due to subject motion.**

Face Detention AF/AE Function Helps Capture People Clearly

This function, the first on a digital SLR camera* and made possible by full-time Live View, detects when faces are in the frame and optimizes the focus and exposure settings to capture them clearly and correctly. It can detect up to 15 faces in a frame.**

Selectable AF Points While Looking at the LCD

The auto-focusing area can be chosen from as many as 11 points while viewing the LCD before you take the shot. You can focus on your subject with exceptional accuracy.

Film Mode Lets You Adjust the Photo Characteristics While Viewing the LCD

Before taking the shot, you can view your subject in the LCD and select from among six color modes or three monochrome modes for photos with different effects and moods depending on your preference.

Advanced Scene Modes Give You More Control

The modes used most often - Scenery, Macro, Sports, and Night Scenery - have been enhanced. Now you can further adjust each of these modes in three or four detailed settings to better suit the shooting conditions.

LEICA D VARIO-ELMAR 14-50mm/F3.8-5.6 ASPH. MEGA O.I.S (included)

The L10's sophisticated lens unit features 15 lens elements in 11 groups, including two aspherical lenses to lower spherical aberration, and two extra-low dispersion lenses to suppress chromatic aberration. The focal length is equivalent to 28 to 100mm on a 35mm camera.

MEGA O.I.S Prevents Blurring Caused by Shaky Hands

The Leica D lens is equipped with Panasonic's MEGA O.I.S optical image stabilization system. Compensating for even tiny amounts of hand-shake, MEGA O.I.S helps you capture sharp, clear, beautiful images even when taking telephoto shots or shooting in dim lighting.

10.1-Megapixel Live MOS Sensor

This 4/3-type 10.1-megapixel Live MOS sensor gives you both the high image quality of a CCD sensor and the low power consumption of a CMOS sensor. With its high resolution, exceptional detail and vivid color, you capture subjects in their fullest beauty.

High-Performance Venus Engine III

The advanced digital processing provided by this LSI renders images with exquisite beauty. It also reduces picture noise to prevent loss of detail, and provides the kind of fast, responsive performance that makes using the L10 a pleasure.

Four Thirds Standard: Designed Especially for the Digital Camera

Panasonic adopted the Four Thirds standard for the L10's lens system. This helps the L10 lens achieve a level of expressivity that draws out the capabilities of the image sensor to a greater degree than SLR lenses made for film cameras.

Dust Reduction System Keeps the Dust Out

Every time you turn the camera on, a supersonic wave filter located in front of the image sensor vibrates vertically around 30,000 times a second to create a wave-like motion across the entire filter that shakes away any dust particles that enter the camera. This system even removes particles that would not be loosened by the horizontal movement of other image sensors.
