LUMIX DMC-LS80

MEGA O.I.S. in the LS80 automatically detects and compensates for hand-shake. You get clear, beautiful shots even when shooting in dim lighting, shooting macro close-ups and so on. The camera senses if the subject moves and automatically adjusts the ISO setting and shutter speed accordingly, helping to prevent motion blur.

A high-image-quality CCD with 8.1 effective megapixels combines with a 3x optical zoom lens (focal distance: 33 to 100 mm) to let you capture beautiful images in all kinds of shooting situations.

The 2.5" LCD has a total of 230,000 dots for comfortable viewing. The LS80 also features the Intelligent LCD function. Under bright sunlight, Auto Power LCD increases the backlight brightness in 9 steps. In dark places, it increases the brightness level of live images in 3 steps according to the level of ambient darkness. It makes both shooting and viewing photos easier and more convenient.

Panasonic's advanced multi-task image-processing engine, Venus Engine III, provides high-speed response. It also suppresses noise without lowering resolution, to produce beautiful images. This engine also features low energy consumption despite its high performance.

The DMC-LS80 lets you set the maximum sensitivity in five steps from ISO 100 to ISO 1600, or to Auto, for 8.1-megapixel full-resolution shooting.

The DMC-LS80 lets you shoot smooth moving pictures at 30 frames/sec, complete with sound, in WVGA(848 x 480 pixels at 30/10 fps)　or VGA size(640 x 480 pixels at 30/10 fps). *QuickTime Motion JPEG. **In Motion Picture mode, the length of recording time depends on the capacity of the SDHC / SD Memory Card. (Up to the equivalent of 2 GB per motion picture recording.) We recommend using a high speed SDHC / SD Memory Card with "10 MB/s" or greater displayed on the package. Some lens movement sounds may be recorded. ***For Europe, motion images can be recorded continuously for up to 15 minutes.
